Training simulations and immersive learning environments are very valuable for two main reasons.

Firstly, they aid learning and reinforcement by allowing the trainee to interact with the environment in an intuitive, practical way. Personalized guidance can be used to give direct feedback that would otherwise require the full attention of an instructor. They can also be used with an instructors supervision for hands-on practice or assessment.

Secondly, they allow the trainee to experience a process firsthand that may otherwise be costly or dangerous to perform without being qualified. This kind of catch 22 can be avoided by a sim that demonstrates the consequences of incorrect operation without any of the unpleasant side effects.

I was commissioned for a series of training, education, and marketing projects using Vive and GearVR platforms. They were shown at conferences worldwide and received positive feedback.
